League of Legends is coming to consoles and mobile devices next year as League of Legends: Wild Rift

Riot Games recently celebrated the tenth birthday of League of Legends in spectacular style, announcing a ton of new additions to the franchise, including a fighting game, a hero shooter, an anime, a documentary series, and even an esports management sim. But perhaps the most hotly anticipated of the bunch is League of Legends: Wild Rift, essentially a mobile and console version of the enormously popular PC game. With an active player base of 80 million gamers per month as of early 2019, League’s only getting bigger now that the franchise has a full decade under its belt.

Wild Rift is treated as a completely new game because it was built entirely from scratch. The models, animations, game systems, mechanics, and more have all been refreshed. It still features the usual League of Legends gameplay, but the Riot developers didn’t want to just make a simple port. And if you want to Buy League of Legends WR Accounts, visit 5mmo.com, a professional online in-game currency store.

While the unlocked skins on the PC version will not be transferred over, players will receive rewards for their time on PC. Still, the game will remain free-to-play, just like the PC version. All champions can be earned for free, but players can also choose to purchase in-game currency for cosmetic in-game items. There will be a traditional ranked ladder with cosmetic rewards as well.

Wild Rift will initially launch with around 40 champions, but with slight changes because of the different mobile controls. Matches will take an average of 15 – 18 minutes, and we’ll see brand new maps as well.

League of Legends Wild Rift will launch sometime near the end of 2020, which is still quite a good deal away. Then again, fans have been asking for a LoL Mobile for years, except they might not be getting all that they hoped for. While PC and mobile games won’t intersect, Wild Rift players will still be able to use their main LoL account and even get rewards on mobile for playing on the PC.
