Fortnite developer has added a new Performance Mode for PC

Cheap Fortnite Account Fortnite developer and publisher Epic Games has added a new Performance Mode for PC to the popular video game. Basically, the new feature lowers visual quality to improve performance on computers. These sort of modes have become increasingly prevalent with the launch of the new generation of consoles as video games continue to push the boundaries of what is possible, and the Fortnite one should specifically help out anyone that's begun to see their older PCs start to chug while playing.

The new mode will be available from today (Tuesday 15 December) and you will find it in the Advanced Graphics section in the video settings menu (under Rendering Mode which now has the options DirectX 11, DirectX12 and Performance).

Epic has provided two examples of what Performance Mode does on two different computers. A PC with an Intel i5-8265U @ 1.60GHz CPU, 8 GB RAM and an Intel UHD Graphics 620 video card used to do 24 fps. With Performance Mode, this computer can run as much as 61 fps.

The second example is an AMD A10-5745M APU @ 2.1GH, 6GB RAM and an AMD Radeon HD 8610G. The FPS was previously at 18 fps, with Performance Mode this computer is able to run 45 fps. Quite a difference.

Fortnite will automatically recommend using performance mode if it notices your PC’s components are on the lower end, but players can also toggle the new mode on or off in the game’s settings menu under Video > Advanced Graphics > Rendering mode.
