Our first look at FIFA 22 and word of some new features and gameplay changes have all leaked, courtesy of a playtest/closed beta and a few prominent FIFA leakers. According to various reports, EA has been testing FIFA 22 with several FIFA community members. However, apparently this playtest has been cancelled due to the leaks below making the rounds.
Online leak suggests FIFA 22 release date news
The next installment in EA’s FIFA franchise is expected in the next several months. On Saturday, the @FUTZONECENTRAL Twitter account shared an exciting update with followers waiting for news about FIFA 22 release date. An announcement about the game including pre-order details is expected to arrive on July 11th.
That would make for an interesting announcement date, as it’s a Sunday. However, it coincides with the Euro Finals’ start so that could be the reason for the specific day to promote the game.
But according to both @DonkTrading and @FutArcade, FIFA 22 will be marketed as being 'True Next-Gen' and the game will be able to run at 120 FPS, which is double the frame rate of FIFA 21.
This would be a major step forward for the franchise.
What is the price of FIFA 22?
Last year, the standard edition of FIFA 21 cost £59.99 in the UK and $59.99 in the US. It is expected that prices should remain around the same for FIFA 22.
As well as the standard edition, EA Sports usually releases special versions of the game which have additional content such as extra packs, kits, items and players for FIFA Ultimate Team and Volta.
The special versions are more expensive than the standard edition and are available in both physical copy and download version.
FIFA 21 Champions Edition cost £79.99 in the UK and $79.99 in the US.
FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition was priced at £89.99 and $99.99 on the Xbox and Playstation official stores.
